One day, several years ago, I was driving to work when suddenly a huge semi tow truck turned in front of me. I tried to steer away but BANG he hit me.

I’m an organized, engineering type who prides himself in being under control, but that morning’s accident left me frantic as I searched for a pen to get witness names and shuffled through my glove box searching for all the documents the police officer needed. I was really surprised at how disoriented I was ...at a time when I needed full composure. I thought, “if I panicked, how would my loved ones handle the whole event?”

Later that day I designed the VDF^TM, the Vehicle Documentation File.

Inside the VDF^TM are two pockets, one to keep those important documents like owners registrations and insurance cards. The other to hold receipts and warranties for your battery and tires.

Included, too, are several heavy weight paper forms designed to help acquire all the various information one needs when involved in an accident. Everyone will really appreciate the fill-in-the-blank way of getting the important info! A mechanical pencil is conveniently attached; that way it will always be there and write. There’s a place for important phone numbers (handy for those panic times) and an oil change history log. All folded and die cut in a heavy weight board with a leatherette type finish. The VDF^TM fits easily and handily into your glove box.

But all this won’t make a difference if you can’t find the VDF^TM. That’s why I specially designed the seams and edges with a brilliant bright red reflective foil. This foil makes the VDF^TM stand out so its always easy to locate in the glove box.

All these elements put together makes the VDF^TM very useful and is just one small way to help make our lives just a little less complicated.
